Czech 10 Koruna Banknote of 1960

The Czech koruna, also known as the Czech crown, has been the currency of the Czech Republic since 1993. The name "krone" was invented by the emperor, Franz Joseph I of Austria. After Austria-Hungary dissolved in 1918, the only successor state that kept the name of the currency.

The State Bank of Czechoslovakia issued Czech Koruna banknotes in 7 different denominations, including the 10 Czechoslovak Korun banknote in 1960. They are part of the obsolete Czechoslovak korun banknotes series. The State Bank of Czechoslovakia started issuing these 10 Czech Koruna banknotes in 1960. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1985.

Two girls with flowers are pictured on the front side of this 10 Czechoslovak Korun banknote. The backside of the Desat korun note features the Orava hydroelectric dam.
