Six sets of stamps are issued by the Jersey Post to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of jersey golfer, Harry Vardon. He is one of the greatest ever players, Vardon won the Open a record six times from 1896 to 1914 and the US Open in 1900. He pioneered an accurate and reliable hitting technique that is still the basis of the modern golf swing. The stamps introduced by the Jersey post feature photography of Harry Vardon throughout his career.
