The weight of this gold mohur is around 12.26g. Shah Alam II issued this gold mohur in the Hijri year 1202, during the 19th year of his reign.The Bengal Presidency, also known as the Presidency of Fort William, was a subdivision of the British Empire in India. Today, the Bengal Presidency split into Bangladesh and Indian states like Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh.
During British rule, Bengal was an economic, cultural, and educational hub in India. Bengal's presidency directly contributed to Industrial Revolution during the Proto-Industriliazation period.
