This gold mohur issued by king Ram Singh from Princely State Jaipur is listed for INR 60000; in the upcoming online auction of Oswal Antiques, which will be held in Mumbai on February 19, 2022.Jaipur was the princely state during British rule in India. Jaipur state was also ruled by Mughal Empire and later by the British Empire. The city of Jaipur; was founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II in 1728. The Maharajas of Jaipur traced their roots to the kacchwaha clan of Rajputs who claimed to be descendent of Hindu God Rama; King of Ayodhya. The history of Jaipur had also witnessed conflicts with Jats, Marathas, other Rajputs States, Pindaris, and the British.
