India Post Commemorates World's Largest Covid Vaccination Drive

India Post has recently issued a special commemorative stamp that celebrates the 1st Anniversary of launching the World's Largest Covid Vaccination Drive.Covid-19 was declared a pandemic in March 2020. Since then the whole world was engulfed into breaking the chain of this deadly virus. India also joined the race of developing a vaccine and was successful in creating a vaccine against the Corona Virus which rolled out on 16th January 2021.
This year the vaccine celebrates its first anniversary and has already amazed the world. India has been able to achieve the milestone of administering over 156 crore doses despite such a huge population and diversity.
The stamp worth Rs.5 features a healthcare worker inoculating a senior citizen with the COVID-19 vaccine, along with an image of a ‘COVAXIN’ vial. This stamp signifies the remarkable work done by our front-line healthcare workers and scientific community across the country in protecting the people against the COVID pandemic.
