Captain James Cook, the First Navigator to cross Antarctic Circle

Captain James Cook was a British explorer, navigator, cartographer, and captain in the British Royal Navy. He was the first European to travel to Hawaiian Island and called this Island Sandwich Island.Captain James Cook; is famous for three voyages between 1768 and 1779 that helped the Europeans; to connect with Hawaii, Australia, and New Zealand for the first time, making it a remarkable, and historical feat.
On 17th January 1773, he became the First-person to cross Antarctic Circle. Equatorial Guinea issued this commemorative stamp to commemorate him and his work in the year 1979.
