Tipu Sultan Nazarana Quarter Rupee Listed For INR 6,00,000

This silver Nazarana Quarter Rupee was issued by Mysore king Tipu Sultan during the 5th year of his reign in the Hijri Year 1215. The Kingdom of Mysore is situated in the southern part of Indian subcontinent. Mysore was ruled my different dynasties during different period of time. This kingdom was founded by Yaduraya Wodeyar in the year 1399 CE. The Wodeyar dynasty was the ruling dynasty who ruled this kingdom till 1947 CE; later Mysore was merged with Union of India. The last ruler of this kingdom was Tipu Sultan. This obverse side of this silver Nazarana quarter rupee is inscribed with Persian letter ‘He’ and Persian number ‘5’ with dotted beautiful rosettes within circle. The reverse side of this coin is inscribed as ‘Muhammad Huwa as sultan Haidar abu al adal sanah 1215’ within circle.
