James Bond 25 Silver Coin Series

The Perth Mint released a series of limited edition commemoratives to celebrate the 25 years of James Bond films.

The first official James Bond film, Dr. No, was brought to cinemas in 1962 by producers Albert R Broccoli and Harry Saltzman. Nearly 60 years later, the 25th official film in the series, No Time to Die, was supposed to be released in 2020 which got delayed because of the Pandemic.

However, Perth Mint is ready with numismatics releases. Each month from now until March 2022, The Perth Mint will release two new colored 1/2oz silver proof coins featuring color illustrations of iconic Bond film posters, making up a limited edition set of 25.

The Perth Mint has unveiled the first four colored silver coins with the posters of the movies Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger and Thunderball. The reverse of the coin depicts the Ian-Rank Broadley portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year, weight and purity, and the monetary denomination.
