Indo-Greek King Apollodotos II Copper Drachm

Apollodotus-II was an indo-Greek king, he ruled the western and eastern parts of Punjab between 80BC and 65 BC. He is considered as one of the most important rulers of Indo-Greek, he re-established the Indo-Greek to some extent of its former glory. Taxila in western Punjab was re-conquered from nomad Scythian rule.Apollodotus II belongs to the dynasty of Menander I, so therefore most of the coins issued by him bear the title Menander. Apollodotus II issued a large number of coins in silver and copper.
This copper drachma that weighs around 1.48g was issued by Apollodotos during his rule in Indo-Greek. The obverse of this coin depicts Humped Bull facing towards the right. The reverse of this coin depicts a crude reel and pellet border.
