Gaius Messius Quintus Traianus Decius, also known as Tarjan Decius, was a Roman Emperor. He ruled the Roman Emperor between 249 and 251. Before sitting on the throne of the Roman emperor, he was a politician during the reign of Philip of Arab. After putting down the rebellions in Moesia, he proclaimed himself Emperor. In 249, he defeated and killed Philip near Verona and was recognized as Emperor by the Senate afterwards. During his reign, he strengthens the Roman Emperor and his religion Christianity.
