This banknote of Egypt was issued in 1958 in Black on pale orange, pink, and multicoloured underprint. Prefix and serial number on top left and lower right.The legend ‘Jamhuria Misr Al Arabia’ in Arabic script means in English ‘The Egyptian Arabic Republic’ at top left. Theenomination in words at left and signatory below it. Numerical denomination and name of denomination in Arabic numerical and script at top right and bottom left corner.
Reverse: Legend ‘Central Bank of Egypt’ on top of left. Denomination in words in English script and language below it as well numerical denomination in English numerical at bottom left and top right corners. The sculptured wall design at left, Ramses II at center and archaic seal at right.
