Slovenia is celebrating 75th anniversary

Slovenia Post released a new commemorative stamp dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the United Nation- One of the most important international organizations fighting for peace and security-enhancing people’s lives in various countries. Being active for 75 years the UN has managed to resolve conflicts peacefully to promote international co-operation etc. The stamp was designed Matjaz Ucakar.

The primary aim of the member states of the United Nation is to achieve peace and security, prosperity and a dignified existence for today's and future generations. Slovenia joined the UN on 22nd May 1992. Since then, Slovenia diplomatic corps has been working to ensure that the interest, values and positions of the country are visible and receive due consideration in the Un’s various committees and organization. Slovenia is actively involved in maintaining peace and security and preventing conflicts, ensuring respects for and protection of human rights. Besides, the country pays particular attention.
