Julia Tyler 10 Dollars Coin
2020-01-09 Thu
Julia Tyler was the first lady and second wife of John Tyler; the tenth president of the United States of America from 1844 to 1845. Although Julia Tyler was the First Lady of the United States of America for only 8 months, she quickly made her mark.Julia Tyler worked very hard to support her husband’s John Tyler political agenda, especially during the annexation of Texas. She used her charm to convince the members of Congress, a Supreme Court Justice, and Cabinet Member to support the cause. When the result came in the favour of annexation and when John Tyler signed the resolution, he handed his gold pen to his wife Julia to honour her for her efforts. Julia attached that gold pen to her necklace and wore it on formal occasions afterward.
This United States of America had issued this 10 dollars coin with the theme of Julia Tyler in the year 2009.
