Shihab Al-din Ahmad Shah I Silver Tanka

Shihan Al-Din Almad Shah I was a sultan of Bahamani Sultanate; he sat on the throne of Bahamani Sultanate after his brother Firuz Shah who quit the kingdom in the year 1422 CE and ruled it until 1436 CE.After sitting on the throne of Bahamani Sultanate he tried to increase the boundaries of Bahamani Sultanate and also had won many battles against several kings. In the year 1425 he transferred his capital to Bidar.
This silver tanka was issued by him from the mint Hadrat Ahsanabad in the Hijri Year 828. The obverse of this coin is inscribed as ‘Al Sultan Al Adil Al Badhil Al Nasir LiDin al Dayyan Abu'l Mughazi’. The reverse of this coin is inscribed as ‘ Shihab Al Dunya Wa'l Din Ahmad Shah Al Sultan between two elongated lines, Mint name on top, date at bottom’.
