The Harikela was the ancient Bengal Kingdom which had encompasses much of the eastern region of the Indian Subcontinent. The Harikela kingdom was one of the important kingdom pf eastern Bengal. During the 10th Century, this kingdom was ruled by Chandra Dynasty. The Harikela Dynasty was overthrown by the Varman Dynasty. The capital of this dynasty was near Chittagong.This silver bracteate was issued by an anonymous ruler of Harikela dynasty. The obverse of this coin a retrograde impression of a bull walking to left, two crescents on either side, Nagari legend Veeraka above. The reverse of this coin depicts a Negative impression.
