Timurid ruler Khalil Sultan died today

The Timurid ruler of the Transoxiana, Khalil Sultan died today on 4th November 1411. The son of Miran Shah and a grandson Timur, he ruled the Sultanate from 1405 to 1409.During Timur’s reign, he gained Timur’s particular favor. He distinguished himself during the campaign in India and was given the rule of the Ferghana Valley. Later, he gained control of Samarkand. His ruled ended when Shahrukh Mirza (Timur’s son) entered Samarkand in 1409.
