Royal Mail issued a set of eight stamps to honour Sir Elton John to celebrate his contribution to Music. Elton John is the second rock icon to be given the honour after David Bowie. This stamp features most popular album cover of Sir Elton like his 1972 breakthrough Honey Chateau, rocket Man, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.According to Royal Mail, ‘Sir Elton is one of the most successful British solo artists of all time. He has recorded some of the best-known songs in pop history such as ‘Candle in the Wind and Rocket Man’.
The royal Mail’s stamps showcase some of the most iconic albums of Elton John and celebrate his fantastic musical contribution.
