An Entire Universe on a Coin

The Royal Canadian Mint has issued a special set of collector coins that recreate an image of the universe beautifully. These amazing coins are made of different hand crafted borosilicate coloured glass globule with a unique swirl of silver dust, making each coin one-of-its-kind. The extra luminescence on the glass tries to imitate the faint glow of the galaxy. The special borosilicate fine art coloured glass also glows in the dark.The set of three coins can be purchased in branded packaging after you subscribe for it at a price of $149.95 per set.
Forests of the Observatoire du Mont-Mégantic under a clear, star-filled sky have also been featured on the coin. The round, crystal-clear glass designs are similar to a view through a telescope lens.
