Canada’s 150th anniversary of confederation was commemorated with the release of a 1 KG pure silver coin on 11th November which celebrates coinage of Canada since its confederation in 1867.The detailed ultra-high relief design features almost 35 obverse or reverse images of Canada’s finest and most popular coins, at actual diameters.
Coins depicted include commemorative issued on the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote, Victory nickel of the Second World War, War of 1812, 50th anniversary of the Canadian flag, Canadian Arctic Expedition, Canadian Centennial series, Voyageur dollar etc.
The obverse features the Susanna Blunt effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The mintage of this 250 dollars .999 silver 1,000 g Antiqued Proof coin is limited to 500 pieces.
