Perth Mint Gold Bullion Sales Report

Perth Mint’s gold sales reached the highest level in almost 3 1/2-years and its silver sales crossed the million ounce mark for seven times in 2016. The value of precious metals was declining, 3.8% for gold and 8.2% for silver which was balanced by the new 2017-dated bullion coins.Perth Mint sale of gold coins and gold bars was at 79,048 ounces which is very high as compared to the sales figures during the same months last year. The sales had hit the last record of 88,638 in May 2013.
The Perth Mint sold 1,084,213 ounces in silver bullion last month, which is 5.1% higher than September but 1,751,898 ounces were delivered in October 2015 which means there has been a decline of 38.1%. The Mint sold 15.5% more silver coins as compared to the sales during the same time period last year.
