A special collector coin was issued by Ukraine on 4th October celebrating the 100th anniversary of the city of Kiev’s first motorized fire engine. The obverse features a coloured image of the country’s first motorized fire truck along with fire-fighters. It replicates a 100-year-old photograph. Other Inscription includes “Automobile Fire Truck” in Ukrainian language and 100 POKIB (100 Years). The city of Podil was saved from the Great Podil fire of 1811 with the efforts of these brave firefighters.

The reverse features the firefighter's helmet of those times along with a crossed axe, a wrench, two fire hose nozzles, the insignia of Ukraine, 5 Grivnia and 2016. The mintage limit of this 5 Grivnia Nickel 16.5 g Select BU coloured coin is 40,000.
