On 7th June 2018, India and South Africa released a joint stamp issue to commemorate 20 years of strategic partnership between both the countries. The Rs. 25 stamp depicts Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. Born on September 25, 1916, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay was an RSS thinker and co-founder of the political party Bharatiya Jana Sangh, the forerunner of Bharatiya Janata Party. He was known for his political philosophy Integral Humanism. This issue is honours birth centenary and 50th year of death anniversary of the Indian Deendayal Upadhyaya.
