Vilayat Khan Was Born on 28th august 1928, Ha was one of the great Pioneers of indian Classical Music who introduced the music to the west along with Ravi Shankar, Ali Akbar Khan and others. Though he was awarded the Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan, He refuse to accept it.Government of India issued a Rs5.00 stamp paying commendation to him.
