RBI to issue of Rs. 10 banknotes with inset letter ‘L’

New Rs. 10 denomination banknotes with the inset letter ‘L’ and the signature of the Governor, Dr. Raghuram G.Rajan was issued in the Mahatma Gandhi Series-2005 yesterday.Every aspect of the design remains the same, except that the numerals in both the number panels will be in an ascending size from left to right while the prefix will have a constant size.
Similar notes of 50, 100, 500 and 100 Rs. has already been issued.
Older 10 Rs notes issued will continue to be used as legal tender.
