Akbar Square Heavy Gold Mohur Listed For INR 2,25,000

This square heavy gold mohur was issued by Mughal Emperor Abu'l-Fath Jalal-ud-din Muhammad Akbar is listed for INR 2,25,000 in the upcoming auction of Todywalla which will be held in Mumbai on 20th July 2019.The weight of this gold mohur is around 12.1g and it was minted in Dar-us-Sultanate Fathpur during the Hijri year 987. The obverse of this gold mohur is inscribed with the name and title of Akbar between two parallel lines with Hijri Date and Khallada Allah Mulkahu at the top. The reverse of this coin is inscribed with the Kalima in diamond formed by elongating some letters in names of caliphs in the margin.
