German Coins to Star in Heritage Monthly World Coin Auction

Heritage’s Monthly World Coin Internet Auction, scheduled for April 24 features coin issues from 20 different German States.The star coin is a proof 2 Mark issue from Prussia dated 1901-A. Then comes the Prussian highlight, proof 5 Mark dated 1913-A. A Wurzburg gold Ducat dated 1776 and graded MS62 by NGC is an appealing example of its type.
This auction will also host proof coinage from the Weimar Republic with commemorative issues. The key Weimar commemorative issue is the 1932-G 5 Mark piece struck to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. .
