As Monaco celebrates the 150th anniversary of its founding, 15,000 circulating commemorative €2 coin will be issued on June 1st 2016.

Monaco has been a go to destination for people from all over the world, offering casinos, yachts and more where the rich and famous play.

The obverse shows Charles III in the right foreground, with a view of Monte Carlo in the left background. Other inscriptions include ‘MONACO’, the mint mark, the mint master mark and ‘1866 – CHARLES III FONDE MONTE CARLO – 2016’. The coin’s outer ring depicts the 12 stars of the European flag. The common reverse shows a map of the European Union.
