The United States of America had issued this five dollars commemorative coin with the theme of the Statue of Liberty in the year 1986.Statue of Liberty states many things; it is a universal symbol of freedom. It represents the friendship between the people of France and the U.S. and a sign of their mutual desire for liberty, over the years the Statue has become much more. In a Historical point, the monument has its own importance because it was given to the United States by France to Celebrate America’s first 100 years as a nation. It commemorates the alliance between France and the U.S. during the Revolutionary War.
The obverse of this coin depicts the image of an eagle in flight and the reverse of the coin depicts the close-up view of the Statue of Liberty.
