Lyndon Baines Johnson was born on 27th August 1908 in Stonewall, Central Texas. He is also referred to by the initials LBJ. He was an American Politician who had served his country as 36th President of United States from 1963 to 1969; He had also served his country as 37th Vice President of United States of America from 1961 to 1963; He assumed the presidency after the assassination of President of John F. Kennedy. In the year 1937, he had successfully campaigned against U.S House of Representative; where he served for six years before moving on to serve 12 years in the U.S. Senate.
After becoming the 37th Vice-President of United States in the year 1961, he held Vice-President Office for less than three years when John F. Kennedy’s assassination thrust him into the presidency.
