Theodore Roosevelt Commemorative Coin

Theodore Roosevelt was born on 27th October 1858 in New York into one of the Old Dutch families which settled in America in the 17th century. He completed his graduation from Harvard College; after completing his graduation he spent almost four years in reading books and sports. He completed his further education in Germany and entered politics. He was elected to the Assembly of New York State, holding office for three years and distinguishing himself as an ardent reformer.

He was an American statesman and writer; he also served his country as 26th President of United States of America from the year 1901 to 1909. He became the President of United States after the assassination of William McKinley. He had also served his country as 25th Vice-President in the year 1901; he was also 33rd Governor of New York from the year 1899 to 1900. As a leader of the Republican Party during this time, he became a driving force for the Progressive Era in the United States in the early 20th century.

The United States of America had issued his one dollar commemorative coin which is portrait on the obverse side of the coin.
