Spock, one of the most iconic characters from Star Trek: The Original Series, will now steal the spotlight again by featuring on the latest coin released by Perth Mint which is struck as legal tender of Tuvalu.

The reverse design of this 99.9% pure silver coin features Spock played by actor Leonard Nimoy, giving his trademark Vulcan salute. Behind, the IDIC Vulcan symbol appears along with inscriptions of ‘SPOCK’, ‘1 OZ 999 SILVER’, and ‘TM & © 2015 CBS. ARR’.

The obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with inscriptions ‘QUEEN ELIZABETH II’, ‘1 DOLLAR’, ‘2015’ and ‘TUVALU’.
