Silver Rupee of Muhammad Ibrahim

Muhammad Ibrahim was a claimant to a throne of Mughal dynasty on 15 October 1720. He had been designated by the Sayyid brothers as his brother's successor.He issued only gold Mohur and silver Rupee during his reign. One of his silver Rupee was issued at Dar-ul-Khilafat Shahjahanabad. The obverse of the coin shown the Persian legend ‘Sikka Zad Dar Jahan Bafazl Shahan Shah Karim Muhammad Ibrahim’ (Silver was stamped in the world by favor of Muhammad Ibrahim, the king of kings) with AH date. The reverse of the coin inscribed with ‘Zarb Dar-ul-Khilifat Shahjahanabad Sanah Ahad Julus Mainamat Manus’.
This coin was sold for INR 60,000 by Classical Numismatic Gallery.
