These include coins issued by rulers of the Mesopotamia region from Cyrus the Great in 546 B.C. through Saddam Hussein in 2003. Several coins from the collection are finest known of their kind. Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles would be later auctioning the collection.

The collection contains coins of tyrants of every important civilization. Tigris river was a major water source for all these civilizations. Another exhibition would showcase coins issued by Lydians, Ionians, Parthians and Ottomans, Abbasids and Ilkhans. Some of these coins are 2,600 years old and are still in great condition. They belong to Ionia, Persia, Turkey and Western Asia. Visitors would also get a free booklet that shares information about these rare coins.

Just as the name suggests, Mesopotamia was a wealthy territory between two rivers Tigris and the Euphrates. It is believed that the earliest civilization settled here. They knew to write, invented the wheel and were good at mathematics, metal working etc.
