Daniel F. Kelleher Auctions will be held from 27th February to 2nd March. Over 3,400 lots will be offered. The Lots will contain stamps from United States, British Commonwealth, and world stamps. Over 320 lots of British Commonwealth will be offered on the opening day.1897 Jubilee stamps and many 20th-century commemoratives in imperforate pairs from Canada are a major highlight. A never-hinged horizontal pair of the 1929 50¢ blue Bluenose stamp has an opening bid of $250 against its listed market value of $1,150. Only 250 imperforate pairs of this stamp were produced.
A hinged block of nine 1869 24¢ green and violet Declaration of Independence stamps is another offering. It is the largest existing block and is unused with original gum. This item has an opening bid of $20,000.
A never-hinged single of the $4 crimson lake Columbian stamp is the highest-graded example by Professional Stamp Experts. It is offered with a certificate grading of Extra Fine-Superb 95. The stamp has a listed market value of $55,000, is offered at an estimate of $30,000 to $40,000 and an opening bid of $15,000.
A never-hinged joint line pair of the 1916 3¢ violet George Washington horizontal rotary press coil has a listed market value of $2,600. It is offered at an opening bid of $1,500, and an estimated value of $3,000 to $4,000.
