Pricing for Two Breast Cancer Awareness Commemoratives Out

The sale of three Breast Cancer Awareness commemorative coins will begin on 15th March. The pricing for Proof and Uncirculated versions of the silver dollar and copper-nickel clad Half Dollar was released by US Mint on 30th January. Pricing for the pink gold $5 coins would be out a week before the sale begins.The Proof version of the silver dollar will be sold for $51.95 while the Uncirculated version is priced at $48.95 for the first 30 days. The proof version of the copper-nickel clad Half dollar would be sold for $27.95 while the uncirculated version would be sold for $25.95 for the first 30 days. Regular issue prices would be $5 higher.
Gold $5 commemoratives are generally made of 90 percent gold and 10 percent copper. The latest pink gold coins will be made of 85 percent gold, 14.8 percent copper and 0.2 percent zinc. The diameter and thickness would be same as the .900 fine gold coins - 0.85 inch and 1.75 millimeters respectively. However, the weight would be 5.6 percent lighter at 6.741 grams.
