Sale of Proof 2018-W American Liberty tenth-ounce gold $10 coins will begin on 8th February. The mintage limit is set as 135,000 pieces. There is also an ordering limit of five coins per household. Pricing has not yet been revealed.

The coin designs are similar to that of 2017-W American Liberty 225th Anniversary gold $100 coins and the 2017 American Liberty silver medals.

The obverse features Liberty depicted as an African-American woman, wearing a crown of stars. U.S. Mint Artistic Infusion Program artist Justin Kunz and U.S. Mint Medallic Sculptor Phoebe Kunz were involved in designing and sculpting the obverse design.

The reverse features a flying eagle looking determined to catch its prey. It’s designed by AIP artist Chris T. Costello and sculptured by U.S. Mint Medallic Sculptor Michael Gaudioso.
