Special United Arab Emirates Banknotes to be Auctioned
2018-01-05 Fri
The New York International Numismatic Convention (NYINC) auction is going to offer some special United Arab Emirates banknotes on 12th January.A collection of scarce TDLR first issues include United Arab Emirates Specimens which are graded PMG 64, PMG 55 and PMG 63. They have Staple Holes on the reverse side as they are mostly stapled at TDLR. These vibrant notes do not have any other anomalies.
Another highlight is the highest denomination 1,000 Dirhams of the same series which is separately offered. It is the finest offered of the type and is rarely found in any form, be it specimen or issued. Issued examples are heavily circulated. Experts believe only two finer examples exist. It features TDLR stamps, unlike other notes that were offered earlier at other auctions without this stamp. Apart from the pinholes, the notes are in great condition!
