Luxembourg Releases New Commemorative Circulating €2 Coin

Luxembourg is going to release 500,000 circulating commemorative €2 coins to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Luxembourg Constitution in January 2018.The design which was released in mid-December, features an effigy of Grand-Duke Henri and an open book. Other inscriptions include the year-dates 1868–2018, 150 ANS and CONSTITUTION DU GRAND-DUCHE DE LUXEMBOURG.
The copper-aluminum-nickel outer ring of the ringed-bimetallic 8.5 grams coin features the 12 stars of the European flag. The inner core is made of copper-nickel. The common reverse shows a map of the European Union.
