Latest Russian Coins Feature Cartoon Heroes

Russia released new commemorative coins featuring famous cartoon heroes. The state coat of arms of Russia and the denomination three rubles or 25 rubles is featured on one side. The other side features an image of the characters Piglet and Pooh Bear from Winnie-the-Pooh by Alan A. Milne.3,000 silver coins denominated three rubles and 250,000 base metal coins denominated 25 rubles have been released. the same number of coins of the same denomination featuring the Three Heroes, characters of another popular Russian cartoon with the same name but with traditional legends, have also been released. From 1992 onwards, the country has been issuing commemorative coins made of precious and non-precious metals primarily for collectors and investors.
