1947 Mexican 50-peso Coins found in Kettle Donation

Someone has been donating gold coins in a Salvation Army kettle in Florida for the last four years. Two gold 1947 Mexican 50-peso coins were discovered on Wednesday in the kettle outside a store in Pompano Beach and another one was found on 27th November. The coins were dropped in dollar bills. Each coin is worth almost $1,300.Officials say that a donor purchases the coins after the Christmas season. The collected amount is donated to provide meals, shelter, clothing and social services to more than 25,000 people in the county.
