2017-11-21 Tue
APMEX has made the 2018 American Gold Buffalos available for pre-order. Customers will receive their coins in January. The US Mint’s first-ever 1 oz Gold coin containing .9999 fine Gold was released in 2006 to compete with the Gold Canadian Maple Leaf. These new coins became popular in no time. The obverse/ reverse designs are adapted from the original Buffalo Nickel which was designed by James Earle Fraser and introduced in 1913. It features a Native American chief and an American bison.
The Gold Buffalo is one of APMEX’s top-selling coins. The product is available in MintDirect® Singles and MintDirect® Tubes, sealed in an exclusive protective plastic. APMEX is one of the few authorized purchasers from the U.S. Mint who offer US Mint coins to customers across the globe.
