Special Overprinted Samba Pane from UNPA for Brasilia Stamp Exhibition

The UN Postal Administration took part in the Brasilia specialized world exhibition, which took place from 24th to 27th October in Brasilia, Brazil. To commemorate this event, they overprinted a pane of Dance stamps and released them on the first day of the exhibition - 24th October. A selvage of a pane of six stamps beautifully depicts the colours and festive spirit of samba and Carnival in Brazil. The design is overprinted with the exhibition’s logo, dates, and location.This pane of 68¢ stamps was issued for use from U.N. post office at the Vienna International Centre in Austria. It was released on 23rh March and were a part of a set celebrating international dance. Six panes with six stamps each were released, two for each U.N. post office, namely Vienna, New York City, and Geneva. The Brasilia overprinted pane is not considered as a new issue.
