The Perth Mint’s first Gold Nugget coin was released in 1987. A different famous Australian Gold Nugget design was featured every year. The focus was shifted to the popular kangaroo designs in 1989.The purity, unique designs, and variety have made Gold Kangaroo coins very popular among collectors and investors. A Silver Kangaroo was released in 2016 which also became popular instantly. These two series will be continued till 2018 with amazing designs.
The Perth Mint’s first-ever Platinum Kangaroo coin will be out in 2018. Its design is similar to the Silver Kangaroo coin with some minor changes. The 2018 Gold Kangaroo will be available in different sizes from 1/10 oz to 1 kilo, all made of .9999 fine Gold. The classic kangaroo design is featured on the 2018 1 oz Silver Kangaroo and it's made of .9999 fine Silver. The new 2018 1 oz Platinum Kangaroo coin will be made of .9995 fine Platinum.
