Israel is going to release new NIS 20 and NIS 100 bills by November end. They are the two pending denominations in series C of the New Israel Shekel. Automated-machine operators have been asked to calibrate vending machines and banknote counting machines using software which recognises new banknotes. A portrait of poetess Rachel will be featured on the NIS 20 banknote and that of Leah Goldberg will be featured on the NIS 100 note.

Operators of automated machines and of banknote counting machines have been asked to contact the suppliers of the machines and complete the calibration process as soon as possible. Other information about the new notes along with security features will be revealed soon.
