Latest New Zealand Mint Coin Remembers Battle of Trafalgar

During the Napoleonic War of the Third Coalition, the Battle of Trafalgar was extremely crucial for Britain and Lord Admiral Horatio Nelson. France stopped invading England after the war but Nelson died by the end of it. A fleet of 22 ships belonging to France and Spain lost the battle and every British vessel emerged victoriously.The latest release in New Zealand Mint’s Battles That Changed History series dedicates 1-ounce .999 fine silver $2 coins with an Antique Finish to this historic battle.
The coins struck for Niue features a colourful illustration of Admiral Lord Nelson against an antique, engraved background depicting ships engaged in battle. The obverse features an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Mintage limit of the coin is 5,000 pieces and each one costs $82 U.S. They come in antique-looking timber outer box packaged with black line art illustration of the battle on antiqued paper texture. The coin is placed on a black velvet interior and is accompanied with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
