Dutch Stamps Celebrate an Art Museum
2017-08-29 Tue
Netherlands released a pane of 10 stamps featuring Museum Voorlinden on 17th July. This privately owned art museum from Wassenaar was inaugurated in September 2016. The stamps are non-denominated, with the numeral 1 that indicates that they can be used on basic domestic-rate letters weighing up to 20 grams. The stamps feature items from the museum, museum itself, nature photographs, and various other images that portray changing seasons. The unique aspect of the museum is that it is one with nature. The glass walls of the museum make the gardens a part of the museum’s collection. The museum seems to be three times larger on the inside than on the outside, due to its bright landscapes.
