Five Interesting 1936 half dollars Auctioned for $17,825

On 17th July, Centennial Auctions had announced that five Uncirculated 1936 York County Commemorative 50¢ coins, none graded or encapsulated, were sold for $17,825 in Nashua, New Hampshire. The coins were bought by their original owner when they were actually released. The coin collection was sold a year back to the family by Centennial Auctions. These coins were found hidden in a dresser drawer. The coins were purchased 80 years ago, and nobody knew where they were until recently when they were rediscovered.Bidding started at $8,000 and both the family and auctioneer were pleased with the auction result. Each coin was beautifully toned.
