Dragonflies on Australian Stamps

Australia recently released as series of postage stamps celebrating three dragonflies which are native to the Bundaberg region of Australia. Colourful male members of the Australian tiger, jewel flutterer, petaltail and scarlet percher dragonflies; and a damselfly, the Arrowhead Rockmaster are depicted on the stamps.The tiger, percher and rockmaster live in and around Bundaberg. The Dragonfly-series is named Nature's Flying Machines and was released during Australia Post's annual Stamp Collecting Month.
Experts explained that Dragonflies live in areas near still or running freshwater sources. They contribute in a great way to maintain a balance in the local ecosystem.
