New Mexican 20 Peso Coin Commemorates 50th Anniversary of Plan DN-III-E

Mexico recently released a 20 peso commemorative coin to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the implementation of Plan DN-III-E. The plan by Secretariat of National Defence was implemented to protect the life and property of those hit by natural disasters.

The obverse features the National Coat of Arms, and the inscription "UNITED STATES OF MEXICO". The reverse features a unique bracelet of Plan DN-III-E, the inscription "50 YEARS PLAN DN-III-E"; two images representing Mexican Army and Air Force; the year 1966, 2016; the inscriptions "SECRETARIAT OF NATIONAL DEFENSE", " MEXICAN AIR FORCE AND ARMY" all inside a stylised cord. Other inscriptions include the denomination "$20", the mint mark "Mo", and "TWENTY PESOS".

The central disc is made of copper and nickel while the outer ring is made of copper, aluminium and nickel. The edge has discontinuous striation
