NGC will display two sets of rare old coins at the ANA World’s Fair of Money that will take place from 1st to 5th August, in Denver. The Resolute Americana Collection of 1776 Continental Dollars and the 1897 Szechuan Province Ferracute Pattern Set will be showcased publicly for the first time.

The Resolute Americana Collection of 1776 Continental Dollars contains 15 NGC-certified examples. It is considered to be the finest and most complete set of Continental Dollars.

Continental Dollars were struck in the critical year of 1776 by the Continental Congress. It has the popular design of 13 interlocked rings. Every ring has a name of a different colony. Inscriptions at the centre include AMERICAN CONGRESS and WE ARE ONE.

The set contains nine coins in pewter, four in brass and two in silver. It has the only two Continental Dollars known with a plain edge. One out of these two coins was discovered recently. It also contains a 1783 Treaty of Paris Medal graded NGC AU 55 and a 1787 Fugio Cent graded NGC MS 66 RB. These two coin designs pay tribute to the 1776 Continental Dollars.
